Sandy Hudson


Sandy Hudson is an activist, writer and creator who believes in winning as a framework for justice. An audacious organizer, Sandy is unafraid to have and host the conversations needed to bring real change to the forefront. Hope, and a commitment to possibility keep her in the fight for a better world. Sandy is also the founder of the Black Lives Matter movement presence in Canada and helped to found the Black Legal Action Centre, a specialty legal aid clinic providing services for Black people in Ontario.  Sandy is currently based in Los Angeles and is studying law at UCLA.

Sandy’s is co-editor of the bestselling anthology Until We Are Free: Reflections on Black Lives Matter in Canada (2020). Her writing can be found in The Washington Post, The Toronto Star, Maclean’s Magazine, The Huffington Post, Now Magazine, and FLARE Magazine.

Nora Loreto

Nora Loreto is a writer, musician and activist based in Québec City. She’s a community organizer who thinks that hard, strategic work will bring about the revolution.

Nora is the author of Take Back the Fight: Organizing Feminism for the Digital Age (2020), and From Demonized to Organized, Building the New Union Movement (2013) and is the editor of the Canadian Association of Labour Media.
