Sorry not a comment on news. I just witnessed a young BIPOC woman restrained and taken away on a police car, ostensibly to a hospital . I don’t know why the police were there or who called them. I stood nearby for about 15 minutes. When one of the police ordered me to give them “room” and said that I was upsetting the woman, she said that I wasn’t upsetting her and that I should stay. I don’t want to disclose more details here. I don’t want to violate her privacy. I used to work in the mental health housing support sector and had contact numbers for services and persons who could intervene or witness police and psychiatric actions. I am now retired and out of the loop. I would appreciate any suggestions for training on how to respond to police actions and organizations to contact.
